The path to becoming an adult is a gradient
When you’re a kid, you’re a tiny drunk adult.
And when you’re an adult, you’re a tall child.
The path to becoming an adult is a gradient. There isn’t a switch that gets pulled on the day you turn 18 that qualifies you to make “adult decisions.”
It is a gradual, painstaking process.
In the end, what determines our “adultness?” Does it mean that we become less emotional? Less petulent?
We never lose our childishness. Not completely, anyway.
