Scales for measurement matter in data because humans make assumptions

Humans make assumptions due to the nature of just being, well, human.

So, measurement scales allow us to get outside of our heads a little bit and get a little more rational. However, there is some debate over how rational and objective these scales can really be in the end.

In the end, we want trustworthy results.
