Quality of thought is a matter of input vs. output
atomic
I was once told that I have high quality thoughts 1.
It’s not an innate talent. I did have quite a wide imagination as a child, and I still do, but I don’t attribute this person’s observations to my rich inner world.
It’s about intention.
I am intentional about the inputs and outputs of my life.
The inputs include:
- Movies I watch
- Books I read
- Podcasts I listen to
- Lectures I hear, etc.
The outputs include:
- Podcasts I create
- Blog posts
- These notes
- Conversations
- Lesson Plans
- Coaching resources
- etc.
The in-between step is creating structures to think about the inputs (like creativity as gardening), and templates to create the outputs.
