non duality
Non-duality is a philosophical concept that originates from Eastern spirituality and philosophy, particularly Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism. The term refers to the idea that the universe and all its multiplicity are ultimately expressions or appearances of one essential reality. This reality is often referred to as the Absolute, God, Nature, the Divine, Ultimate Reality, or Brahman.
Non-duality suggests that our perception of dualities or opposites such as good/bad, self/other, or life/death are illusory and not truly separate entities. They are manifestations of a unified whole.
In non-dualistic thinking, subject and object are one. There is no separate ‘I’ observing the world outside - everything is interconnected and part of one grand cosmic dance.
Many spiritual practices aim to help individuals realize this non-dual nature of existence through meditation, mindfulness and other practices that encourage letting go of perceived separations between self and others.
