Career Pivot

The reason why Career search process is changing:

• AI - when you can generate a quick job and a suitable resume really quickly, you can kind of see why this becomes dicey.
• ghost jobs - jobs that aren,‘t real but are there to provide market data to employers
• LinkedIn - it’s really dumb. People reach out to people who aren’t even looking for a job. It’s a lot better than a small candidate pool.

• When pivoting, consider that a role that has a strong hard skills requirement will be harder to pivot into than transferrable soft skills. Think instructional design (hard) vs. sales (soft).
